Image with text

Image with text places one image next to a column of text. You build the text from blocks: an eyebrow, a heading, text and up to two buttons, in any order. Put the image on the left or the right, make it half the width or wider, and choose its shape.

When scroll reveals are on, the text rises into view and the image can also ease in from a slight zoom. See Animations.

Best practices#

• Use a 1600 × 1280 px image that shows the story: the maker, the material, the place.
• Alternate sides. When you use the section more than once on a page, switch Image position each time, so the page zigzags instead of repeating.
• One heading, one or two short paragraphs. Longer text belongs on its own page. Link to it with a button.
• Solid and outline buttons. Make the main action solid and a second one outline.
• Vertical position. Content position aligns the text to the top, middle or bottom of the image. Middle suits most images; bottom works well with tall portrait images.

Preset tips#

• Its default bone-colored Scheme 2 gives a soft break between white sections in Vellora.
• The About page template in every preset uses it to tell the brand story after the opening banner.
• In Graphite, a Wide image with a short uppercase heading feels like a lookbook spread.
