Install Vellora

You can add Vellora to your store, customize it and preview it with your own products before you buy it. Your live theme keeps running until you publish Vellora.

Add Vellora to your store#

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Scroll to Theme library and click Visit Theme Store.
3. Search for Vellora and open the theme page.
4. Pick a preset: Vellora, Sorrel or Graphite. Not sure which one? See Choose a preset.
5. Click Try theme to add a free trial copy to your theme library, or Buy theme to buy it now.

The theme appears in Theme library as an unpublished theme. Nothing changes on your live store.

Buy the theme#

Vellora costs $290, paid once. A Theme Store purchase gives you a license to use the theme on one store. You can customize a trial copy as much as you like, but you need to buy the theme before you can publish it.

To buy a trial copy, go to Online Store > Themes, find Vellora in Theme library and click Buy.

Set up before you publish#

Work through these steps on the unpublished copy. Each one links to a detailed guide.

1. Add your logo and favicon. In the theme editor, open Theme settings > Logo and favicon.
2. Check your menus. Vellora reads the main-menu menu in the header. The footer has two Menu blocks: Shop shows main-menu and Help shows footer. See Navigation and mega menu.
3. Set colors and fonts. See Colors and color schemes and Typography.
4. Build your home page. Replace the preset's sample content with your own images, text and collections.
5. Review the product page. Open a product with variants and check the blocks in the Product information section. See Product pages.
6. Choose a cart type. In Theme settings > Cart, choose a drawer or a page. See Cart.
7. Turn on filters. Set them up in the Search & Discovery app. See Collections and filters.
8. Install your apps again. Add app blocks and turn on app embeds. See Migrate from another theme.

Preview your store#

1. Go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Next to Vellora, click ... and then Preview.
3. Check the home page, a collection, a product and the cart on a phone and on a computer.

To share the preview, click Share preview in the preview bar and send the link.

Publish#

1. Go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Next to Vellora, click ... and then Publish.
3. Confirm. Your previous theme moves to Theme library, so you can switch back at any time.
